Naturepedic Crib Mattress Review

Naturepedic is hands down one of the top organic mattress companies. They have tons of options for a crib mattress. They have lightweight, innerspring, and quilted and breathable options ranging from $259-$399. I personally chose one from the quilted and breathable series so that is the one I am going to review today. I chose the organic cotton 2 in 1 ultra quilted 252 crib mattress.

This mattress has it all. It has a firm infant side that is made with organic cotton and is waterproof. Naturepedic is currently the only mattress company on the market that offers a non-toxic waterproof mattress. The toddler side feels more luxurious with a quilted organic cotton finish. It has an organic cotton filling with a heavy duty 252 coil innerspring. There is no latex or soy in this mattress if allergies are a potential concern. This mattress is Greenguard Gold and GOTS certified. Naturepedic is a family owned business and make their products in the United States. This mattress comes with a lifetime limited warranty. It is one of their more expensive organic mattress at $399 but it is well worth the money.

When this mattress arrived I wanted one for myself. I was instantly in love with it and couldn’t wait to put it in the crib. It had zero smell and the toddler side was simply gorgeous (if you can say that about a mattress). The mattress has very firm corners for added support but that prevented it from fitting in my crib. It technically fit in the crib but the bars that change the mattress height stick out and prevented it from sitting comfortably on the bottom. Needless to say I was very disappointed. I loved this mattress SO much I considering getting rid of the crib and getting a new one. However, I was due soon and was worried about time. With much regret and sadness I packaged up this gorgeous mattress and sent it back. Naturepedic was great and I was refunded quickly. I talked with the company and did some research of my own about why it didn’t fit in my crib. This didn’t seem to be a common problem and the person I found with the same problem also had the exact same crib as me. I have a Graco Lauren convertible crib if that helps anyone!
